RATING ACTION / OUTLOOK

Brickwork Ratings has assigned a rating of BWR D/BWR D to the bank loan facilities of the Company aggregating to Rs. 144.14 Crs.

The assignment of the ratings is on account of the working capital-intensive operations, weak financial profile, intense competition in the industry from the dumping of fibre, and default in repayments. 

Brickwork Ratings (BWR) has essentially relied upon the audited financial statements of the company upto FY24(A), relevant data to the extent available for 9MFY25(UA) which was also available on public domain, projected financials for FY25 and FY26, as well as information/clarifications provided by the company’s management and its bankers, to arrive at the present ratings.

Going forward, the ability of the company to improve its revenue and financial risk profile would remain the key rating sensitivities.

LIQUIDITY INDICATORS - Poor

The company has reported a loss of Rs. 54.05 cr during 31 Mar 2024. The NCA of the company stood at a loss of Rs. 40.26 cr as on 31 Mar 2024, and the current portion of long-term debt stood at Rs. 25.95 cr as on 31 Mar 2024. The working capital limits of the company are fully utilized during the last 12 months. The current ratio stood low at 0.76x as on 31 Mar 2024 (Audited). For FY24, the ISCR and DSCR are -0.24x and -0.11x, respectively. The cash and bank balance stood at Rs. 8.68 cr as on March 31, 2024.

Indian Acrylics Limited is a manufacturer of Acrylic Fibre having capacity of 45,000 MT of acrylic fibre production in India and running since 1993. The company is also producing large volumes of acrylic yarn and have 54000 spindles installed and running. We are selling the product into domestic market as well as into major export markets of acrylic fibre and yarn. The Factories are located in Village Harkishanpura, Distt Sangrur (Punjab) on around 117 Acres of Land. Total manpower in the Fibre Plant including Head Office is 435 and Spinning mills is 1,270. There are around 400 contract workers engaged in various activities in the plant. The company is also recognized Two star export house by DGFT as per FTP 2015-2020. The company also has a well-equipped in house Research & Development Centre duly recognized by the Govt. of India approved by DSIR since 2001 The company have certificate of registration of Quality Management Systems - ISO 9001: 2015.
The company is Certified “OeKo-Tex Standard 100” from HOHENSTEIN TEXTILE TESTING INSTITUTE Germany certifying acrylic fibre.
